Safety Information
Please follow the instructions below to avoid
possible risks to health and to ensure your
respiratory therapy is fully effective.
The Silent Papillon nasal mask may be used
only for the delivery of nasal positive pressure
therapy (nCPAP or biLEVEL).
The nasal mask is suitable for delivering
therapeutic pressures ranging between 4
and 20 hPa.
The type of mask used affects the therapeutic
pressure. If you have been treated with a
different mask in the past, the treating
physician should check whether the
therapeutic pressure needs to be adjusted.
Please contact your treating physician if you
experience earache or pain in the nose or
sinuses after starting your therapy, or if you
have an allergic reaction to one of the
materials used.
Inhaled air is richer in oxygen (O
2
) than CO
2
-
enriched exhaled air. To prevent exhaled air
being rebreathed, this air must always be
able to escape through the air junction [8]
of the exhalation system [7] [see Figure C].
