Theprotectivewindowcanbeusedtoprotectthesensingheadfrom
dustandothercontamination.Thissho uldbeappliedespeciallyfor
sensors without a lens. These are all models with an optical
resolutionof2:1.
The protective window is made from non‐poisonous zinc sulfide,
withatransmissionfactorof
0.75±0.05.Ithasanouterdiameterof
17mm(0.67in).Theprotectivewindowcanbedirectlyscrewedto
thesensing head.Itwithstandsambienttemperaturesupto180°C
(356°F).
Forcorrecttemperaturereadings,thetransmissionofthe
protectivewindowmustbesetviathecontrolpanelin
the
sensor’s electronic housing, see section 6.2
