Thisfunctionsearchesthesensorsignalforalocalmaximum(peak)
andwritesthisvaluetotheoutputuntil anew localmaximum is
found.Beforethealgorithmrestartssearchingforalocalmaximum,
theobjecttemperaturehastodropbelowapredefinedthreshold.If
theobject
temperatureraisesabovetheheldvaluewhichhasbeen
written to the output so far, the output signal follows the object
temperatureagain.Ifthealgorithmdetect salocalmaximumwhile
theobjecttemperatureiscurrentlybelowthepredefinedthreshold
theoutputsignaljumpstothenewmaximum temperatureof
this
localmaximum.Oncetheactualtemperaturehaspassedamaximum
above a certain magnitude, a new local maximum is found. This
magnitudeiscalledhysteresis.
