Indicators, Warnings and Alarms
StartUpIndicatorTheXPO
2
willturnOnalllightsbriefly
andcheckforstuckbuttonsuponpowerup.Itwillthen
outputabriefaudiblebeepwhenfirstturnedOntoindicate
theunitisoperational.
BreathDetectIndicator‐TheXPO
2
willputoutameasured
pulseofoxygeneachtimeitdetectsaninhalation.Theblue
flowsettingindicatorlightwillblinkeachtimeaninhalation
isdetectedandtheXPO
2
outputsapulseofoxygen.
InternalBatteryChargingIndicatorWhenthe unitisnot
turnedOn,buttheAC,orDC,chargerisconnectedtotheunit
andprovidingpower,theBatteryGaugeDisplaywill
sequentiallyilluminateeachofthefoursegments.Periodically
thesequentialilluminationwillbeinterruptedby theactual
batterychargedisplay.Iftheunitisfullycharged,allfour
segmentswillbeilluminatedcontinuouslyuntilthe unitis
turnedOn,orremovedfromchargerpower.IfnoBattery
GaugeDisplaysegmentsareilluminated,theunitisnot
charging.Thelackofchargingcouldbeduetoeitheralossof
power,loosechargerconnectionsortheinternal battery isnot
atthepropertemperatureforcharging.Allowtheunitto
warm,orcool,torecommendedchargingtemperaturerange
(seeRecommendationsforOptimalPerformanceonpage 18),
checkforlooseconnectionsand/ortryadifferentpoweroutlet.
LowBatteryWarningWhentheXPO
2
’sinternalbattery(or
supplementalbattery,ifapplicable)capacitydropsto25%,a
briefaudiblebeepwillsound.Thegreen25%batterygauge
indicatorwillintermittentlyblink.
LowBatteryAlarmWhentheXPO
2
’sinternalbattery(or
supplementalbattery,ifapplicable)capacitydropsto15%,a
doubleaudiblebeepwillsound.Thegreen25%batterygauge
indicatorwillrapidlyblink.
