Removing
1. Placethewheelchairinawellventilatedareawhereworkcanbeperformedwithout
riskingdamagetocarpetingorfloorcovering.
2. VerifythejoystickOn/OffswitchisintheOffpositionanddisconnectjoystick.Refer
toDisconnecting/ConnectingtheJoysticksonpage 44.
3. Performoneofthefollowing:
• WheelchairswithoutFormulaPTOPlus‐Removetheseat.RefertoRemoving/
InstallingtheSeatAssemblyonpage 46.
• WheelchairswithFormulaPTOPlus‐Tilttheseatback.RefertoTiltingtheSeat
Assemblyonpage 47.
4. Removethetopshroud.RefertoRemoving/InstallingtheShroudsonpage 52.
5. Ifnecessary,disconnectrightandleftmotorleadstoallowaccesstothefrontofthe
batterytray.
6. Disconnectthefrontbatteryfromcontroller(REDconnector).RefertoFIGURE 9.2.
7. Moveasidethemotorleadsandcontrollercabletoallowunobstructedaccesstothe
frontofthebatterytray.
8. Disconnectthe
rearbatteryfromthefrontbattery(REDandBLACKconnectors).Refer
toFIGURE 9.2.
9. Ifnecessary,disconnectthewiringharnessfrombatteries.RefertoConnecting/
DisconnectingtheBatteryWiringHarnessonpage 60.
10. Unfastentheretainingstrapthatsecuresthetwobatteriesinthebatterytray.
