Opening applications by voice
You can use your voice to launch applications that exist in
Start
menu.
1. On the Voice Command screen, after a voice prompt
followed by a short beep, say an application name in the
following manner: “Open <Application Name>”.
2. Your phone recognises your command and displays a list
of one or more applications in the confirmation screen.
Follow step 4 on page 166.
Note
: If
Quick Launch
is checked at
Settings
, this
confirmation step will be skipped and the best
recognition result will be executed immediately.
3. If you press the
Ok
soft key or say nothing for 3
seconds, the phone automatically opens the currently
selected application.
Customising Voice Assist settings
You can customise the various settings for using Voice
Assist by pressing the
Settings
soft key on the Voice
Command screen.
•
Timeout
: Adjust the maximum time to listen to your
commands.
•
Voice Guides
: Check for more comprehensive voice
prompts and responses.
•
Quick Launch
: Check to skip the confirmation.
