message. A name or a label will
appear on the upper line.
If your line goes through a local
switchboard (a PBX) remember
to dial the exit code. Press the

the code. If the number includes
a country code, press the

key after the country
code, then dial the rest of the
number.

Immediate Transmission
Immediate Transmission is conve-
nient when:
You wish to send a message imme-
diately.
You wish to quickly check whether
you have successful connected
with the other party's fax machine.
Your machine's memory is getting
full.
The machine dials immediately after
you press the {Start} key (or at the
specified later time, if you used a
time-delay feature like Send Later).
The message is scanned and transmit-
ted page by page without being
stored in memory.
A Make sure that the machine is in
standby mode.
The display should look like this:

Note
The memory indicator should
go out. If the memory indicator
is lit, press the {Memory} key.
B Place the entire document face
down into the feeder.
