Some components are made of polymer, or are polymer-coated.
They are, therefore, pleasant and convenient to handle. The use
of unsuitable cleaning agents and techniques can damage
polymers, so always observe the following rules:
• Never clean them in an ultrasonic bath. The polymer can
become brittle and later break.
• Never use corrosive cleaning agents or ones containing
acetone.
• Never use solvents for cleaning (except for ethanol and
isopropanol).
• With warm soapy water, wiping down afterwards
with distilled water.
• With ethanol (industrial alcohol) and isopropanol.
When cleaning with ethanol or isopropanol, adhere
to the appropriate safety regulations.
