Theliftisdesignedtoprovideamaximumofsafe,efficientandsatisfactoryservicewith
minimumcareandmaintenance.
Allpartsofthestandupliftaremadeofthebestgradesofsteel,butmetaltometalcontact
willwearafterconsiderableuse.
Thereisnoadjustmentormaintenanceofthecasters,otherthancleaning,lubricationand
checkingaxleandswivelboltsfortightness.Removealldebris,etc.fromthecasterand
swivelbearings.Ifanypartsareworn,replacethesepartsimmediately.
Ifyouquestionthesafetyofanypartofthelift,contactyourdealerimmediatelyand
advisethemoftheproblem.
Hydraulic Pump
Allpartsofthehydraulicpumpareprecisionmachinedthencarefullyassembledand
testedtoensurereliableservice.Thepumpassemblyiscompletelyenclosedandsealed
withNeopreneringstopreventleakageofhydraulicoil.Asmallamountofoil(abouta
drop)willaccumulatearoundthepistonfromtimeto
timeandshouldberemovedwith
afacialtissue.
ƽ WARNING
The hydraulic pump is sealed at the factory and if service is required, the pump unit
MUST be returned to the factory for repair. DO NOT attempt to open the
hydraulic pump or obtain local service. This will void the warranty and might result
in damage and costly repair. Consult your dealer or contact Invacare for
information.
Lubricating the Lift
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 8.1.
TheInvacareliftisdesignedforminimummaintenance.However,asixmonthcheckand
lubricationshouldensurecontinuedsafetyandreliability.
Keepliftandslingscleanandingood
workingorder.Anydefectshouldbenoted
andreportedtoyourdealerassoonas
possible.
ThecastersMUSTswivelandroll
smoothly.Alightgrease(waterproofauto
lubricant)maybeappliedtotheball
bearingswivelofthecastersonceayear.
Applymorefrequentlyifthecastersare
exposedtoextrememoistconditions.
Lubricateallpivotpoints.Wipeallexcess
lubricantfromliftsurface.
