4. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, turn the two captive screws clockwise until the
redundant power supply is secured to the power-supply bay.
5. Connect the AC power cable to the redundant power supply and to an electrical
outlet.
6. Turn on the power switch on the redundant power supply.
The green indicator on the redundant power supply lights up.

To upgrade the storage system with a redundant cooling fan, perform the following
steps.
NOTE: Some components of the Dell PowerVault 2xxS storage system are hot-
pluggable. If one power supply provides power to the storage system, you can
install or remove the redundant cooling fan while the system is turned on.
1. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, turn the two captive screws counterclockwise
to release the cooling-fan blank from the right cooling-fan bay.
2. Holding the captive screws, carefully pull the blank out of the cooling-fan bay (see
Figure 7-17).
