Basic Shooting

This section explains the general operation flow and basic shooting

instructions.

Operation Flow

To record an image, follow the steps below.

Press the power switch to turn the camera on. → (p.41)

Select a shooting mode (

• • • • ). For basic

shooting, set the mode dial to

(still picture mode). → (p.41)

Select internal memory (

) or SmartMedia memory card ( ).

Choose from nine image quality modes (

Use the zoom lever to select the size of the subject. → (p.44)

Check the position of the subject in the viewfinder or on the LCD
