Discard
The discard command discards changes in the configuration. Type discard from any prompt in the Configura-
tion mode and all changes will be discarded.
NOTE: Changes from other telnet sessions will also be discarded, if any.
After the discard, the prompt will change from “*” (indicating changes) to “#” (indicating no changes).
SetFactory
The setfactory command sets the configuration to factory default (except EthernetInterface). To set factory
defaults, type setfactory at any prompt. The following confirmation prompt will be displayed: Are you sure
that you want to set configuration to factory defaults (Yes/No)? Type yes to set the configuration to factory
defaults; type no to cancel the action. When using setfactory, ensure you type the complete word, yes or no.
Time
The time command enables you to display or set the system time.
To display the time, go to the time prompt in config mode.
Example
time Displays the time.
To set the time, type time followed by the mm (month)/dd (day)/yy (year)/hh (hour):mm (minute):ss (second).
Example
time 05/11/01/15:45:00. Sets the time to May 11, 2001 at 3:45.
