Figure 2. XPA 2001 Series Application Example
Mounting the XPA 1002 and XPA 2001
The XPA 1002 and XPA 2001 audio amplifiers can be set on a table, mounted on a rack
shelf, or mounted in the plenum space above a ceiling-mounted projector.
Tabletop Use
Four self-adhesive rubber feet are included with the audio amplifier.
For tabletop use, attach one foot at each corner of the bottom side of the unit and place
the unit in the desired location.
UL Guidelines for Rack Mounting
The following Underwriters Laboratories (UL) guidelines pertain to the installation of the
equipment in a rack.
1. Elevated operating ambient — If installed in a closed or multi-unit rack assembly,
the operating ambient temperature of the rack environment may be greater than
room ambient. Therefore, consider installing the equipment in an environment
compatible with the maximum ambient temperature specified by the manufacturer
[Tma = +32 to +122 °F (0 to +50 °C)].
2. Reduced air flow — Installation of the equipment in a rack should be such that the
amount of air flow required for safe operation of the equipment is not compromised.
