10. The following screen appears.

Yes/No Selection Menu before Head Angular Adjustment
11. At this point, loosen the screw securing the head fixing plate on the
left of the carriage unit by turning it 90
° - 180°. (Be careful not to
remove it completely.) If you have already selected No in the
screen, the program will indicate a message to prompt you to loosen
the screw prior to the adjustment. (See the figure below.) Be sure to
select “Yes” in the screen (Figure 5-20) after you have loosened the
screw as instructed in this step.

12. Select “Yes” in the screen (Figure 5-20).
NOTE:
If no printing data (command) is input to this printer for 3 minutes
while power is on, the current which magnetizes the Pump/ASF
motor completely drops. The drive sent from this motor is also used
to lock/release the carriage lock lever. For this reason, if the special
command for the adjustment is generated after 3 minutes to move
the carriage, the printer directly enters the carriage lock lever
releasing operation without the rush current control which is done
while magnetizing the motor. As a result, there is a possibility that
the carriage collides because of the incompletely released lever and
the error occurs. Therefore, please be aware that the program runs
a cleaning that is originally supported by the hardware if no action
was made for 3 minutes before moving the carriage. Note if the
printer enters the cleaning before printing the Head Angular
Adjustment Pattern, it is not abnormal. In this case, the program
follows the steps below to avoid misunderstanding.
Note Step 1: The initial screen (same as in Figure 5-20) appears.
(The top screen in Figure 5-22)
Note Step 2: If no action is taken for 3 minutes or more, the next
screen appears. (The middle screen in Figure 5-22)
Note Step 3: As the program prompts, press the Enter key. (The
middle screen in Figure 5-22)
Note Step 4: The next screen (The bottom screen in Figure 5-22)
appears and the printer automatically performs the
cleaning (level: CL1).
