Regularmaintenanceofpatientliftsandaccessoriesisnecessarytoassureproper
operation.
DONOTovertightenmountinghardware.Thiswilldamagemountingbrackets.
Afterthefirstsixmonthsofoperation,inspectallpivotpointsandfastenersforwear.If
themetalisworn,thepartsMUSTbereplaced.Makethisinspectioneverysixmonths
thereafter.
Electrical - Grounding Instructions
DONOT,underanycircumstances,cutorremovetheroundgroundingprongfromany
plug.Somedevicesareequippedwiththreeprong(grounding)plugsforprotection
againstpossibleshockhazards.Whereatwoprongwallreceptacleisencountered,itis
thepersonalresponsibilityandobligationofthecustomertocontacta
qualified
electricianandhavethetwoprongreceptaclereplacedwithaproperlygroundedthree
prongwallreceptacleinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode.Ifyoumustusean
extensioncord,useonlyathreewireextensioncordhavingthesameorhigherelectrical
ratingasthedevicebeingconnected.
Inaddition,InvacarehasplacedRED/ORANGE
WARNINGTAGSonsomeequipment.DONOTremovethesetags.Carefullyread
battery/batterychargerinformationpriortoinstalling,servicingoroperatingyourpatient
lift.
Pinch Points

Pinch points exist between boom and swivel bar. Pinch points also exist at base of
lift. When positioning lift, be aware of the position of the swivel bar and the patient.
