DONOTuseanescalatortomoveawheelchairbetweenfloors.Seriousbodilyinjurymay

occur.

Beforeattemp tingtotransferinoroutofthewheelchair,everyprecautionshouldbetaken

toreducethegapdistance .Turnbothcastersparalleltotheobjectyouaretransferring

onto.Whentransferringtoandfromthewheelchair,ALWAYSengagebothwheellocks.

DONOTattempttoliftthewheelchairbyanyremovable(detachable)parts.Liftingby

meansofanyremovable(detachable)partsofthewheelchairmayresultininjurytothe

userordamagetothewheelchair.

Ifthewheelchairisexposedtoextremetemperature(above100°Forbelow32°F),high

humidityand/orbecomeswet,priortouse,ensurethatthehandgripsdonottwis tonthe

handle.Otherwise,damageorinjurymayoccur.

DONOTstandontheframeofthewheelchair.

DONOTstandonthefootplates.Whengettinginoroutofthewheelchair,makesurethat

thefootplatesareintheupwardpositionorswingfootreststowardstheoutsideofthe

wheelchair.

ALW AYSuse thehandrims for self‐propulsion.DONOT gripthe rearwheelsthemselves.

ALWAYSkeephandsandfingersclearofmovingpartstoavoidinjury.

Weight Training

Invacaredoesnotrecommendtheuseofitswheelchairsasaweighttrainingapparatus.

Invacarewheelchairshavenotbeendesignedortestedasaseatforanykindofweight

training.Ifoccupantusessaidwheelchairasaweighttrainingapparatus,Invacareshall

notbeliableforbodilyinjuryordamagetothewheelchairandthewarrantyisvoid.

Weight Limitation

TheAtlaswheelchairhasaweightlimitationof250lbs(114kg).
