DESCRIPTION Inserts/reads the devices in the local devices list.
PARAMETER The device to be inserted (in the SET version).
RETURNS The devices list (in the GET version). The GET version displays
additional information about the devices, such as the last slot in
the local memory and a flag showing whether a notification is
pending (for more details about notifications, see “Notifications”
on page 53).
