Pause Dialing
Pause Dialing enables you to send numbers as DTMF (Dual-tone
Multi-frequency) signals after placing a call. This feature saves
time when using your tele-services such as bank account
inquiries, credit card inquires, etc.
There are two pause dialing methods; pause dialing from a
stored phone book entry and manual pause dialing.
Pause Dialing from a Stored Phone Book Entry
1. If you have already stored the number with pauses, then
go ahead to step 2. If you need to store a number in your
Phone Book which contains pauses, do this:
a. Enter the number to first connect to (such as the
bank’s tele-service phone number).
b. Press the button to enter a pause. The letter
“p” displays in the number, meaning that a pause will
occur at that point in the dialing sequence. Enter the
DTMF number (such as your account number).
c. Store the number as you normally would by pressing
the key and entering a name.
2. Dial the number from your phone book in the normal
method you prefer.
3. When the phone number is connected, you will be
prompted by the service for the number (credit card
number, bank account number, etc). Press again to
send the DTMF number. “SENDING DTMF” flashes on the
screen.
