Taking Time-lapse Movie Pictures (Fast Fwd Movie)
This mode lets you take movie pictures at a delayed frame rate
so that when you play the movie back, the action appears
speeded up. This function is useful for recording a blooming
flowers, etc.

Press the MENU button in Movie Picture mode.
The [ Rec.Mode] menu will be displayed.

Press the four-way controller (̄) to select [Fast Fwd
Movie].

Use the four-way controller (̇̈) to
choose [Off (×1)], [×2], [×5], [×10],
[×20], [×50] or [×100].

Press the OK button.

Press the shutter release button.
Shooting in Fast Forward Movie mode starts.
• Off (×1) is the normal setting for movie pictures (12 frames
per second). Each time ×2 or ×5 is selected, the number of
frames taken per second is reduced to 1/2 or 1/5.
• As movie pictures are normally played back at the rate of 12
frames per second, movies taken at ×2 are played back twice
as fast and movies taken at ×5 are played back five times as
fast.
• Sound cannot be recorded.

to select [Digital Zoom].

Use the four-way controller (̇̈) to
select [On].

Press the OK button.
The camera is ready to take a pic-
ture.
• When you turn the LCD monitor off, the digital zoom is
disabled even if the digital zoom function is set to On.
• If [Slim] has been selected for the digital filter, you cannot
use the digital zoom.
• When you use the digital zoom function, the object should be
focused by the LCD monitor.
