Caster Angle Adjustment
When you change the seat angle, you must also change
the caster angle so that the caster forks remain at a 90°
angle to the ground based on the side of the caster fork.
See figure 35. There are an infinite number of possible
caster angle.
WARNING! Contact your Quantum
Rehab Provider before adjusting the
caster angle.
NOTE: A right-angle square is recommended for
aligning the caster forks to ensure 90° alignment to
the ground.
To change the caster angle:
1. Loosen the nut that fastens the caster wheel
assembly to the frame.
2. Turn the screw to adjust the caster wheel to the
desired angle.
3. Tighten the nut.
NOTE: Make sure that both casters are adjusted to
the same angle.
Caster Wheel Removal
The caster wheels can be removed.
To remove the bolt-on caster wheel:
1. Remove the cap.
2. Remove the hardware that attaches the caster wheel
to the frame of your wheelchair. See figure 36.
3. Reinstall the cap.
4. Repeat for the other side if necessary.
WARNING! Ensure all hardware is
tightened and secure after making any
adjustment, repair, or performing any
service. Failure to do so may result in
injury or product damage.
WARNING! Many of the screws, bolts,
and nuts on your wheelchair are
special, high-strength fasteners.

for replacement hardware. Use of
improper fasteners may cause your
wheelchair to fail or may cause
personal injury.
