8. Lift both batteries off the scooter.
9. Remove the detent pin that secures the front and
rear sections together. See figure 15.
10. Completely lower the tiller to the center of the scooter
deck. See VIII. Comfort Adjustments.
NOTE: Steer the tiller to the right before lowering
it. The tiller will sit slightly to the left when fully
lowered.
11. Pull up on the handhold (located on the front sec-
tion) and push back on the seat post, then gently
separate the sections of the scooter. See figure 16.
