10.4 HUMIDIFIER
NOTE: To clean the oxygen humidifier, follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer. If none are
provided, follow these steps
1. Clean the humidifier every day.
2. Wash it in soapy water and rinse it with a solution of 10 parts water and 1 part vinegar.
3. Rinse again with hot water and refill with distilled water to the level shown on the humidifier.
11. TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOM PROBABLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Alarm:
One (1) short beep, long pause
Concentrator NOT operating,
while Power switch ON
Main Power Loss:
1. Power cord NOT plugged in.
2. No power at outlet.
3. Tripped circuit breaker.
4. Internal repairs required.
1. Insert plug into outlet
2. Inspect house circuit breakers
or fuses. If problem recurs,
use a different outlet.
3. Reset the circuit breaker.
4. Call dealer for service.
Alarm:
Two (2) short beeps, long pause
Concentrator NOT operating,
while Power switch ON
System Failure:
1.Unit overheating due to blocked
air intake.
2. Internal repairs required.
1. Remove and clean cabinet
filter.
2. Move oxygen concentrator at
least three-inches away from
walls, draperies or furniture.
3. Call dealer for service.
Alarm:
Three (3) short beeps, long pause
System Failure:
1. Pneumatically the system is
operating at over pressure.
2. Internal repairs required.
1. Shut down the system.
2. Call dealer for service.
Alarm:
Four (4) short beeps, long pause
System Failure:
1. Pneumatically the system is
operating at under pressure.
2. Internal repairs required.
1. Remove and clean cabinet
filter.
2. Move oxygen concentrator at
least three-inches away from
walls, draperies or furniture.
3. Call dealer for service.
YELLOW or RED LIGHT
illuminated.
1. Low oxygen purity.
2. Insufficient power at outlet.
3. Internal repairs required.
1. Clean or replace filters
2. Don’t use extension cords.
Move to another electrical
outlet or circuit.
3. Call dealer for service.
