Setting up diopter with two adjustable eyepieces
̈ For Leica S6 D and S8 APO, set pinion knob to
Vis position.
̈ Set approximate working distance by means of
focusing drive (working distances of various
objectives see p.38–40).
̈ Set up lighting
̈ Set viewing distance (p.23).
̈ Set ‘0’ diopters on both eyepieces.
̈ Place flat test object under
the objective.
̈ Set lowest magnification.
̈ View test object through
the eyepiece and focus
using the focusing drive.
̈ Set highest magnification.
̈ Optimize sharpness using the focusing drive.
