This Procedure Includes the Following:
Tiller Angle Adjustment
PROCEDURE 8 TILLER ADJUSTMENT
WARNING
After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure that all
attaching hardware is tightened securely - otherwise, injury or damage may
result.
TILLER ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
WARNING
Ensure that tiller is properly adjusted before driving the scooter.
After making ANY tiller angle adjustments and BEFORE use, the tiller MUST
be securely locked into position. Otherwise, a fall from the scooter could occur
causing bodily injury and/or damage to the scooter. Gently, push/pull against
tiller to ensure that the tiller is securely engaged into the adjustment plate.
FOLD DOWN TILLER ZOOM-3 (FIGURE 1)
NOTE: The ZOOM-3 features a fold down tiller. This allows you to fold down the tiller for transport and storage.
1. Adjust the seat to a comfortable position. Refer to ADJUSTING THE SEAT HEIGHT
in PROCEDURE 5 of this manual.
2. Backoff the tiller adjustment knob until the tiller bracket clears the tiller adjustment plate.
3. Pull tiller toward the front ot the scooter until the tiller adjustment plate is closed.
NOTE: When securing tiller in upright position, keep wiring clear of tiller adjustment plate.
4. Support the tiller with your right-hand.
5. Secure the tiller by hand tightening the adjustment knob, ensuring that the tiller
bracket secures the adjustment plate.
6. Gently, push/pull against tiller to ensure that the tiller is securely engaged into the locking
mechanism.
7. To fold the tiller for transport or storage reverse STEPS 2 - 5.
