•Performthefollowing:(1)Washwithahotwater/dishwashingdetergent
solution;(2)Rinsewithclean,hottapwater;(3)Soakinaonepartvinegar
tothreepartshotwatersolutionfor20minutes;and(4)Rinsewithhottap
waterandairdry.
•Washwithrubbingalcoholandairdry.
•Washwithacommercial(bacterialgermicidal)disinfectant.Follow
disinfectantmanufacturerʹsrecommendedinstructionsanddilutionrates
carefully.
Cleaning the Suction Unit
ƽ WARNING
DO NOT submerge suction unit in water. This will result in severe damage to
the vacuum pump.
ALWAYS be sure to remove any foreign material (dirt, lint, etc.) from the
suction unit.
1. Disconnectthesuctionunitfromallexternalpowersources.
2. Wipethesuctionunithousingwithacleanclothandanycommercial
(bacterialgermicidal)disinfectant.
Cleaning the Tubing
1. Disconnectthetubingfromtheconnectionjar.
2. Cleanthetubingaftereachusebyoneofthefollowingmethods:
•Washwithrubbingalcoholandairdry.
•Performthefollowing(makesureallsolutionsrunthroughthetubing):(1)
Washinahotwater/dishwashingdetergentsolution;(2)Rinsewithclean,
hottapwater;(3)Soakinonepartvinegartothreepartshotwatersolution
for20minutes;(4)Rinsewithhottapwater;and,(5)Airdry.
•Washwithacommercial(bacterialgermicidal)disinfectant.Follow
disinfectantmanufacturerʹsrecommendedinstructionsanddilutionrates
carefully.
3. Keeptheoutersurfaceofthetubing
cleanbywipingwithaclean,dampcloth.
Maintenance
ƽ WARNING
Dispose of collection bottle, tubing and hydrophobic filter in a specific waste
bin labeled for medical waste. Residues in the collection bottle, tubing and
filter may cause respiratory infection.
Inspecttubingandcollectionbottleforleaks,cracks,etc.beforeeachuse.
