Selecting Menu Items Using your Keyboard
Access the QWERTY keyboard and locate the
navigation buttons, located at the right of the keyboard.
For example, to launch the Dialer:
1. Slide open the device and access the QWERTY
keyboard.
2. From the Home screen, press the Optical Joystick
to highlight the different Widgets.
3. Highlight and then press .
Backing Up Within a Menu
To go to the previous menu:
ᮣ Press .
To return to Home screen:
ᮣ Press .
Using the Notifications Panel
The Notification area indicates new message events
(data sync status, new messages, calendar events, call
status, etc). You can expand this area to provide more
detailed information about the current onscreen
notification icons.
1. Touch and hold the Status bar, then slide your
finger down the screen.
2. Tap a notification entry to open the associated
application.
Note: The Notifications panel can also be opened on the
Home screen by pressing and tapping
Notifications.
