2. Press to turn the device on.
Ⅲ If your device is activated, it will turn on, search for
Sprint service, and enter standby mode.
3. Make your first call.
Ⅲ From the Home screen, touch to access the
onscreen dialer.
● If your device is locked, press to
unlock the screen.
Ⅲ Use the onscreen dialpad to enter a phone
number.
Ⅲ Tap . (The phone number appears
within the Talk button.)
Activating Your Device
ⅷ If you purchased your device at a Sprint Store, it is
probably activated and ready to use.
ⅷ If you received your device in the mail and it is for a new
Sprint account or a new line of service, it is designed to
activate automatically. To confirm your activation,
make a phone call.

WARNING: If your device has a touch screen display, please
note that a touch screen responds best to a light
touch from the pad of your finger or a non-
metallic stylus. Using excessive force or a metallic
object when pressing on the touch screen may
damage the tempered glass surface and void
the warranty. See “Manufacturer’s Warranty” on
page 182.
Note: Your device’s battery should have enough charge for
your device to turn on and find a signal, set up your
voicemail, and make a call. You should fully charge
your battery as soon as possible.
