Barring Password
The 4-digit barring password is re q u i red when you use
the Call Barring function. You obtain the password
f rom your service provider when you subscribe to this
function.
See page 121 for further details.
Using the Earphone
With the earphone, you can talk without using your
hands. When you connect the earphone to the
earphone jack on the left side of the phone, the
earphone operates in the same way as the phone’s
speaker and microphone.
The button on the earphone allows you to answer or
end a call without opening the flip cover or pressing
a button on the phone. If you receive a second call,
press the button to end the first call and answer the
second call.
Accroding to the Active Flip option(6-0), the button
of earphone works differently.
When the option is set OFF, it can redial the last call
you made. And you can initiate Voice Dial or Voice
Command by pressing the button when the option is
set Voice Dial or Voice Command.
PIN2
The PIN2 (4 to 8 digits), supplied with some SIM
c a rds, is re q u i red to access specific functions, such as
setting the maximum cost of a call. These functions
a r e available if supported by your SIM card .
If you enter an incorrect PIN2 three times in
succession, the code is disabled and you cannot
access the functions until you re-enable it by
entering the PUK2.
To change the PIN2, refer to page 118(menu option 8 - 7 )
PUK2
The 8-digit PUK2 (Personal Unblocking Key 2),
supplied with some SIM cards, is required to change
a disabled PIN2. If you lose the code, contact your
service provider.
To re-enable your PIN2, proceed as follows.
1. Key in the PUK2 and press the OK soft key.
2. Enter a new PIN2 of your choice and press the OK
soft key.
3. When the Confirm PIN2 message is displayed,
key in the same code again and press the OK soft
key.
If you enter an incorrect PUK2 ten times in
succession, you will not be able to access the
functions requiring the PIN2. Contact your service
provider for a new card.
