Taking Pictures
Taking Fast Forward Movie Pictures (Fast Fwd Movie)
This mode lets you take movie pictures at a delayed frame rate
so that when you play the movie back, the action appears
speeded up.

Press the Menu/Fn button in Capture mode.
The [ Rec.Mode] menu will be displayed.

Press the four-way controller (̄) to select [Fast Fwd
Movie].

Use the four-way controller (̇̈)
to choose [Off (×1)], [×2], [×5],
[×10], [×50] or [×100].

Press the OK button.

Press the shutter release button.
Shooting in Fast Forward Movie
mode starts.

Press the shutter release button.
Shooting in Fast Fwd Movie mode ends.
Playing Back Movie Pictures

• Off (
×1) is the normal setting for movie pictures (15 frames
per second). Each time ×2 or ×5 is selected, the number of
frames taken per second is reduced to 1/2 or 1/5.
• As movie pictures are normally played back at the rate of 15
frames per second, movies taken at ×2 are played back twice
as fast and movies taken at ×5 are played back five times as
fast.
• Sound cannot be recorded.
