1. The thermometer operates on one CR 2032 lithium
battery.
2. To access the battery compartment, loosen and remove
the screw attaching the pocket clip to the thermometer.
Gently pull the clip off the thermometer, exposing the
battery cover.
3. Open the battery compartment by turning the battery
compartment door cover on the back of the thermometer
clockwise.
4. Remove the old battery and insert a new one, with the
"+" sign facing up.
5. Close the battery compartment. Replace the pocket clip
and the screw.
Battery Replacement
1. “Hi” or “Lo”: The temperature being measured is either
higher than +428°F / +220°C (“Hi”) or lower than
-67°F/-55°C (“Lo”).
2. Er2: The thermometer unit was exposed to rapid
changes in temperature conditions. Allow at least 30
minutes for the unit to adjust to room temperature.
3. Er3: The thermometer unit is exposed to temperatures
outside its operating range (between +14°F /-10°C and
+122°F / +50°C. Allow at least 30 minutes for the unit
to adjust to a room temperature within the operating
range.
4. Er: For any other error messages, reset the thermometer
by allowing it to turn off, then remove the battery. Wait a
few minutes and reinstall the battery.
