Prolonging Battery Life
Do’s
•Fullychargethebatterymoduleovernightwhenyoufirstreceiveyour
transportableoxygenconce n tr ator.
•Thebatterypackcanbechargedatanytime.Thebatterydoesnothave
tobefullydischarge dbeforeattemptingtocharge.Trytokeepyour
batterymodulesfullychargedwhenusingtheunit.
•Alwaysensurethebattery
moduleisrechargedassoonaspossible
afteritbecomesfullydischarged.Thebatterymaypermanent ly
degradeifleftful lydischargedforanextendedlengthoftime.
•Checkthestatusofbatterymoduleonceamont hifyouarenotusing
yourunitregularly.Thebatteryshouldbemaintainedat2
segments
(approximately50%) worthofcharge.
•Heatistheworstenemyofabattery.Allowplentyofairtocirculate
aroundthetransportableoxygenconcentratorsothatthebatteryis
keptascoolas possible.

• DO NOTuseorleavethebatterymod ule inexcessiveheatorcold.
• DO NOTstoreorleav ethebatterymoduleincartrunks,etc.for
extendedperiodsoftime.
• DO NOTstorethebatterymodulefullycharged(4segmentsonthe
unit’sbattery gauge)ifyouaregoingtostoreyourunit
foranytime
greaterthan2weeks.Rechargeordischargethebatterymodule to only
2segments(50%charge)only.Storingabatterywithafullchargemay
degradeitsusefullife.
