All values are only valid when a new color ribbon is used. The values change
depending on the degree of wear:
• narrow bar: approx. -0.05 mm
• narrow space: approx. +0.05 mm.
Code EAN 128 and EAN/UPC are based on module widths. Only the X
parameter is valid for this type. This parameter is used for the Y parameter
(narrow bar width). The Z parameter has no meaning. In combination with the
normal/condensed feature, 8 widths result (see Table 1 on
page 233).
Error Code
Wrong characters in a control code or in a barcode test (e.g. an undefined
character in a certain barcode type) cause the barcode error sign to print.
