TruSurround Select for surround sound (for stereo programs
only).
Simulated Adds a surround-like effect to mono programs.
Off Normal stereo or mono reception.

Enjoy stereo,
bilingual and
mono
programs
Stereo Select for stereo reception when viewing a program
broadcast in stereo.
Auto SAP Select to automatically switch to second audio
programs when a signal is received. (If no SAP
signal is present, the TV remains in Stereo mode.)
Mono Select for mono reception. (Use to reduce noise
during weak stereo broadcasts.)
✍ MTS is available only for analog programs.
Center
Speaker In
Select the video input (TV, Video 1-7, Memory Stick, or i.LINK)
you want to use with the TV’s speakers as the center speaker.
✍ The Center Speaker In option is not available for the PC
input.
Phase This option can be set when the Center Speaker In option is set to
On. Select Reverse, if the sound from the TV’s speaker (as the
center speaker) sounds unnatural. The default setting is Normal.
Audio Out
Easy control

Variable
The TV’s speakers are turned off, but the audio
output from your audio system can still be
controlled by the TV’s remote control.
Fixed The TV’s speakers are turned off and the audio
output of the TV is fixed. Use your audio receiver’s
volume control to adjust the volume (and other
settings) through your audio system.
✍ Audio Out is automatically set to Fixed when Center
Speaker In is set to On.
Speaker On Select to turn on the TV speakers.
Off Select to turn off the TV speakers and output the
TV’s sound only through your external audio
system speakers.
✍ The Speaker option is not available when Center Speaker
In is set to On.
