Caution displays whilst you are using the “Memory Stick”
If an image file has a problem, the following indicators may appear on the screen. Use the list below to
check the meaning of the caution display.

Use the list below to check the meaning of the messages.
The image file is in the JPEG or MPEG1 format but is not DCF-compatible.
There is a thumbnail image but it is not DCF-compatible.
There is no selected image file.
There is an image file but the thumbnail image is corrupted.
The image file is corrupted.
No Memory Stick Insert the “Memory Stick” into the “Memory Stick” slot correctly.
No file No image files are contained in the currently selected folder.
No movie file No moving image files are contained in the currently selected folder,
even though “Filter” is set to “Movie” in the “Option” menu.
No still file No still image files are contained in the currently selected folder, even
though “Filter” is set to “Still” in the “Option” menu.
Cannot play Data in the moving image file is corrupted.
Memory Stick locked The write-protect switch on the “Memory Stick” is set to LOCK.
Release the lock.
Memory Stick error The image file may be corrupted.
The image file may not be stored in JPEG or MPEG1 format. Check
to see if the image file can be viewed on other equipment compatible
with the “Memory Stick,” such as a digital camera, etc.
Memory Stick type error A “Memory Stick” that is not compatible or cannot be used with the TV
has been inserted.
Format error The “Memory Stick” has not been formatted correctly.
File error The selected folder has not been named correctly. Re-enter the name
with fewer than 66 characters, including “/” by displaying the “Select
Folder” menu.
Read Only Memory A read-only “Memory Stick” on which image files are recorded has been
inserted. You cannot record or delete the data on a read-only “Memory
Stick.”
