his section describes how you can change your phone’s
settings to best suit your requirements. Take a few moments
to review these options and add or adjust the settings that are right
for you.
Display Settings
Changing the Idle Screen
You can select the image to be displayed on the idle screen.
1. From Standby mode, press <Menu> softkey for the Main menu.
2. Select 7:Setings.
3. Select 1:Display and then 1:Screen Saver and then choose 1:Main LCD for main lcd 2:Sub LCD for sub
lcd.

To select one from predefined images, select Local Image.
If there are downloaded images, and you want to select one
from them, select
Download.
If there are user saved camera images, and you want to select one
from them, select
my pictures.
If there are user saved camcorder movies, and you want to select one
from them, select
my videos.
5. Scroll through the available images by pressing the
navigation key left or right, and press <OK> to select.
Changing the Greeting
The greeting can be up to 12 characters and is displayed on the
first line of your phone’s display screen in Standby mode.
To change your greeting:
1. From Standby mode, press <Menu> for the Main menu.
2. Select 7:Setings.
3. Select 1:Display and then 4:Greeting.

You can use the Sprint PCS as the greeting message or
customize the message.
If you select
Sprint PCS, press <OK>, and then confirm by
selecting
Yes, the name you have entered in the user address
field will be used as the greeting. The display
returns to the Display menu screen.
