My Sounds
Use My Sounds to assign sounds as ringtones for incoming calls, as a
ringtone for a contact, or as alert tones. You can also create new
sounds.
1. From a Home screen, touch

2. Touch
Record New
to create a new sound. For more
information, see see “Recording Sounds” on page 77.
3. Touch
Erase
to delete unprotected sounds.
4. Touch
Lock/Unlock
to lock sounds to prevent erasure, or unlock
to remove protection.
5. Touch a sound to play it. While listening to a sound, you have
these options:

Touch to to play the sound. Touch to pause playback. Touch
to move backward in the sound file, or touch to move
forward in the sound file.

Record New
to record a new sound.

Send
to attach the sound to a Picture message.

Set as
to assign the sound as a Ringtone, as a Contact ID
ringtone, or as an Alert tone.

Sound Info
to view information about the sound.
