and MY modes and on using shooting menu options.
Mode P: Program Shift
When the mode dial is rotated
to P (program shift), you can use
the up-down dial to choose from
several combinations of shutter
speed and aperture, all of which
produced the same exposure.

Choose mode P.
Rotate the mode dial to P. The
shooting mode is shown by
an icon in the picture display.

Measure exposure.
Press the shutter-release
button halfway to measure
exposure. The current shutter
speed and aperture appear in
the display.

Choose shutter speed and aperture.
Release the shutter-release
button and rotate the
up-down dial to select a
combination of shutter speed
and aperture.
