GVRP (GARP [Generic Attribute Registration Protocol] VLAN
Registration Protocol)
GVRP allows automatic VLAN configuration between the switch and its nodes. If the
switch is connected to a device with GVRP support, then a GVRP request can be
issued from the device to the switch using a valid VID of a VLAN defined on the
switch. The switch will then automatically add the device to the existing VLAN
entries.
Basic
Create a VLAN and add a tagged member port to it.
1. From the main menu, click Administrator VLAN configuration, click Add then you
will see the page as follow.
2. Type a name for the new VLAN.
3. Type a VID (between 2-4094). The default is 1.
4. Choose the protocol type.
5. From the available ports box, select ports to add to the VLAN and click “Add >>”. If
a trunk groups exist, you can see it here (ex: TRK1, TRK2…)
6. Click Next to view the following page:
