Make sure that the instrument is set for the correct mains
voltage. Incorrect setting can damage the instrument.
Only devices with the correct power rating may be
connected to the transformers. Overloading can result
in damage to the instrument.
• Disconnect the mains cable from the mains supply before
changing lamps.
• Never put your hand in the lamp housing or transmitted-
light stand when the instrument is connected to the mains.
• Wait for filament lamps to cool down before
changing. Touching hot filament lamps can result
in burns.
