Step 4: Turning the power on and holding your
camcorder properly
To record or play, set the CAMERA/VCR
switch to respective positions.
When you use your camcorder for the first
time, [CLOCK SET] screen appears (p. 20).
1 Set the POWER switch to ON, and
set the CAMERA/VCR switch.
CAMERA: To record pictures.
VCR: To play or edit pictures.

• The current date and time appears on the LCD
screen for a few seconds when you turn on your
camcorder once you set the date and time
([CLOCK SET], p. 20).
2 Hold the camcorder properly.
3 Ensure a good grip, then fasten
the grip belt.
To turn off the power
Set the POWER switch to OFF.

• If warning messages appear on the screen,
follow the instructions.
