[29] How to Use Recording Changing the brightness manually for recording
Adjusting the light intensity (ND filter)
The ND filter allows you to record images clearly under too bright conditions.
1. Set the ND FILTER switch to MANUAL, and then select the appropriate ND FILTER
position.
OFF:
Cancels the ND filter function.
1:
Reduces the light intensity to 1/4.
2:
Reduces the light intensity to 1/16.
3:
Reduces the light intensity to 1/64.
When adjusting the IRIS (aperture) automatically
When the ND filter indicator flashes, change the ND FILTER switch position setting accordingly.
The ND filter indicator will be lit solid.
Hint
If you set the IRIS (aperture) too narrow to record a bright object, diffraction phenomenon
may prevent you from focusing on the object. (Diffraction is a normal phenomenon on any
video camera.) Using the ND filter allows you to suppress this phenomenon and obtain a
better recording result.
