PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP) OPERATION
The PIP function allows you to view two programs such as a movie and a sporting event
simultaneously. This TV is equipped with dual tuners, making PIP available at all times using a
single antenna or cable signal source connected directly to the TV’s 75 ohm input.
Note: To use the PIP function with a digital or analog cable box connection, see page 18.
If you are using a satellite dish, you must
also connect a cable system or an antenna to use the
PIP feature (see page 17). To use the PIP feature with a VCR, see pages 17 ~ 18.
BASIC PIP OPERATION
(Connect signal first.)
Note: The following steps correspond to numbers on the Remote Control art below.
❶ Switch television ON.
❷ Press the PIP ON/OFF key.
❸ or ❺ Select channel for big window.
❹ Press the SELECT key to activate the PIP Window.
Window border will be highlighted.
❺ or ❸ Select channel for the PIP Window.
Notes: – With the PIP window highlighted, press the
RECALL key to switch between two programs
in the PIP window.
– Press select to deactivate the PIP window.
❻ To view PIP image in TV big window, press the
SWAP key.
❼ To change the position of the PIP window, press
the LOCATION key.
Notes:
– The PIP channel number
will always appear in the
upper left hand corner
regardless of the
PIP window location.
– PIP cannot be used with
the component input jacks.
Switching to component
input with PIP active will
automatically switch PIP off.
