Formatting a Memory Card
✤ The Format function works only in <M.Player> mode. ➥page 19
✤ You can use the Format functions to completely delete all images and
options on the Memory Card, including protected images.
✤ The Format function restores the Memory Card to its initial state.
Attention
✤ If you execute the Format function, all images will be erased completely
and erased images cannot be recovered.
1. Set the [Power] switch to [PLAYER].
2. Set the [Mode] switch to [CARD].
3. Press the [MENU] button.

The menu list will appear.
4. Press the [

] button to select <Memory>, then
press the [OK] button.
5. Press the [
……
/
††
] button to select <Format>, then press
the [OK] button.
■
A message <All files will be deleted! Do you
want to format?> is displayed.
6. Press the [

/

] button to select <Yes> or <No>,
then press the [OK] button.
■
<Complete !> is displayed when the format is
completed.
7. To exit, press the [MENU] button.

If you execute the Format function, all photo
images/moving images will be erased completely
and erased photo images/moving images cannot
be recovered.
■
Formatting the Memory Card using a different device will
cause Memory Card read errors.
■
Do not turn the power off in the middle of the formatting.
■
A Memory Card with the protection tab set to save will
not be formatted. ➥page 72
■
Do not format the Memory Card on a PC.
<Not formatted !> message may appear if a Memory
Card formatted on a PC is inserted.

✤ Die Formatierungsfunktion ist nur im Modus <M.Player> (M.Play) verfügbar.

✤ Mit der Formatierungsfunktion können Sie alle auf der Speicherkarte gespeicherten
Bilder löschen. Dabei werden auch mit einem Löschschutz versehene Bilder
gelöscht.
✤ Durch die Formatierung wird die Speicherkarte in ihren ursprünglichen Zustand
zurückversetzt.
Achtung
✤ Mit der Formatierungsfunktion werden sämtliche Bilder
gelöscht. Sie können nicht wiederhergestellt werden.
1. Stellen Sie den Betriebsart-Wähler auf [PLAYER].
2. Stellen Sie den Moduswahlschalter auf [CARD].
3. Drücken Sie die Taste [MENU].

Das Menü wird angezeigt.
4. Wählen Sie mit der Taste [

] die Option <Memory>
(Speicher), und drücken Sie die Taste [OK].
5. Wählen Sie mit der Taste [

] die Option <Format>
(Formatieren), und drücken Sie die Taste [OK].

Die Meldung <All files will be deleted! Do you want to
format?> (Alle Dateien gelöscht! Mit Formatieren
fortfahren?) wird angezeigt.
6. Wählen Sie mit der Taste [

] die Option <Yes> (Ja) bzw.
<NO> (Nein) aus, und drücken Sie die Taste [OK].

Am Ende der Formatierung wird <Complete !>
(Beendet !) angezeigt.
7. Drücken Sie die Taste [MENU], um das Menü zu verlassen.
[ Hinweise ]
■
Wenn Sie die Formatierungsfunktion ausführen, werden alle
Bilder und Videoclips unwiderruflich gelöscht.
■
Eine Formatierung der Speicherkarte mit einem anderen Gerät
führt zu Lesefehlern.
■
Schalten Sie das Gerät während des Formatierungsvorgangs
keinesfalls aus.
■
Eine mit Löschschutz versehene Speicherkarte kann nicht
formatiert werden. ➥Seite 72
■
Formatieren Sie die Speicherkarte nicht auf einem Computer.
Wurde die eingelegte Speicherkarte auf einem Computer
formatiert, wird unter Umständen die Meldung <Not formatted
!> (Nicht formatiert) angezeigt.
