Slide Open Shortcut
This feature enables you to set the phone so that when you slide the phone open you can either create a message,
or use IM.
1. From Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Personalize ➔
Slide open shortcut
and press Select
or .
2. Highlight your selection: No shortcut, Create message, or IM and press Select or . Your selection
automatically saves.
Menu Design
The first time you turn on the phone your main menu displays as a Circle menu. Use this option to configure the
display as either Circle or Grid menu format.
1. From Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Personalize ➔

Language
This menu allows you to select a display language for Text language and Input mode. Choose from Automatic,
English, Français, and Español.

Greeting Message
This menu allows you to set a greeting to display briefly when the phone is switched on.

2. Press to clear the text and enter the message you want to display in the greeting.

and select one of the following:
•Save
: allows you to save the currently entered greeting message.
• Select language
: allows you to select Français or Español as the language with which to display your message.
