Term/Acronym Denition
BTPS Body Temperature and Pressure Saturated; A standardization
for lung volumes and ows to barometric pressure at sea level,
body temperature, and saturated with water vapor reecting the
condition of air in the lung.
CPAP Continuous Positive Airway Pressure
CV Control Ventilation therapy mode; CV mode delivers Mandatory
breaths with a user-dened inspired tidal volume. This is a Volume
Control mode.

EPAP Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure
ESD Electrostatic Discharge
Flex The device provides the Flex comfort feature. The C-Flex™ feature
provides increased pressure relief during the expiratory phase
of breathing. The Bi-Flex® feature provides a level of pressure
relief taking place at the end of inhalation and at the start of
exhalation.
I:E Ratio The ratio of inspiratory time to expiratory time.
