Overheating protection
The induction coil on a cooking zone
can overheat if:
–
the pan is not conducting heat
properly
–
fats or oils are heated up on the
highest power setting.
The overheating protections works on
the affected cooking zone in one of the
following ways:
–
If the rear cooking zone with the
Booster function is affected and the
Booster is switched on, then the
Booster will be switched off.
– If power setting 9 has been set, the 9
will flash, alternating with the 8,i.e.
the cooking zone power level has
been reduced to 8.
– The affected cooking zone switches
itself off automatically. The display
first shows a 0 and then the residual
heat indicator.
The cooking zone can be used again
as soon as it has cooled down to a safe
level.
To prevent the overheating protection
from cutting in again:
–
use pots and pans which conduct
heat properly.
–
heat fats or oils up on a medium
power setting only.
