REPLACEABLEPARTS
6-i” INTRODUCTION TO THIS SECTION
This section contains information for ordering perts. Table 6-l liste assemblies within the instrument
that may be replaced on an exchange basis. Table 6-2 lista reference designations and abbreviations
that are used in the Replaceable Pacts List. Table 6-3 lists all replaceable part8 in the instrument. Table
6-4 contains the names and addresses that correspond to the manufacturer’s code numbers listed in
Table 6-3. Also included in this section are photographs and drawings to aid in identifying end ordering
chassis mounted parts and mechanical parts.
6-2. RESTORED ASSEMBLIES
Table 6-l lists assemblies witbin the instrument that may be replaced on an exchange basis, tbue
affording a considerable cost savinge. Exchange, factory-repaired and t&ad assemblies are available
only on a trade-in basis; therefore, the defective assemblies must be returned for credit. For this reason,
assemblies required for spare parts stock must be ordered by the new assembly part number.
6-3. REFERENCE DESIGNATIONS AND,ABBREVlATlONS USED IN THIS MANUAL
Table 6-2 lists the reference designation letters for electrical parte in the instrument. The letter
designations found in Table 6-2 are coupled with muneric designations ta provide a unique reference
designation for each part in the instrument. For example AlAlRl is the reference designation of a
particular resihr Rl on assembly AlAl.
Table 6-2 also lista abbreviations used in the parts hat and on schematics.

Table 6-3 is a list of replaceable parta and is organized as follows:
a. Electrical assemblies and their componenta with reference designations in alphanumeric order.
b. Chassis-Mounted parta with reference designations in alphanumeric order.
c. Mechanical pati with reference designations in alpbamxoeric order,

P&a marked with an asterisk (*) are factory selected parta. The value hated in the parts list is the
nominal tiue. Refer to Section 5 for information on determining what value t0 uee for replacement,

Parta marked with a dagger have been changed to improve the perfo-ce and reliibility of your
instrument, Refer to Section 1 for an explanation of instrument changes.
