Troubleshooting
Problem Possible causes Solution
The device will not switch on The power supply cable is not inserted
correctly
Check that the power supply cable
connector is fully inserted in the
appropriate seat on the back of the
device; then, check that the plug is
correctly connected to the power outlet
The device is switched on, but it does not
proceed with the desired function:
lights are ashing
The selectors are not in the correct
position (attention: upon activation, the
selectors must both be on )
Turn the selectors into the correct
position
Espresso coee does not ow out No water in the tank Fill the water tank
The holes in the lter-holder are blocked Clean the holes in the lter-holder spouts
The espresso boiler outlet is blocked Clean as indicated in the “Cleaning”
paragraph
Espresso coee drips from the edges of
the lter-holder instead of through the
holes
The lter-holder is not correctly inserted
or is dirty
Attach the lter-holder correctly and turn
it fully to the right
The espresso boiler gasket has lost
elasticity or it is dirty
Try cleaning the gasket rst using a
damp cloth. To replace the espresso
boiler gasket, contact Customer Services
The holes in the lter-holder spout are
blocked
Clean the holes in the spouts.
The lter-holder does not hook onto the
device
Too much coee was poured in the lter
Use the supplied measure and make sure
to use the correct lter for the type of
preparation desired (see table on page 10)
Loud pump noise The water tank is empty Fill the water tank
The tank is inserted incorrectly and the
valve on the bottom is not open
Press the tank lightly to open the valve
on the bottom
The coee cream is light (coee ows
quickly from the spout)
The ground coee has not been
suciently pressed
Tamper the ground coee more
Not enough ground coee Increase the amount of ground coee
The coee is not ground nely enough Only use coee ground specically for
espresso coee machines
Incorrect type of ground coee Change the quality of the ground coee
After coee, the lter is attached to the
boiler outlet
Attach the lter holder to the boiler
outlet (g. 7-8-9), then remove it.
After making coee, the pod or cofee
powder is attached to the boiler outlet
Attach the lter holder to the boiler
outlet (g. 7-8-9), deliver a coee (g.
23-24), then remove the lter holder.
