Using an External Flash Unit
IMPORTANT!
• Always make sure that the external flash unit is
turned off before attaching it to or detaching it from
the camera. Leaving the flash unit on can cause it to
fire unexpectedly.
1.
Attach the flash unit’s sync cable to the
camera’s external flash sync terminal.

• When attaching an external flash unit to the camera,
you should also purchase and install a gripped
bracket that can be secured to the camera’s tripod
hole.
2.
Turn on camera power and make the required
camera settings.
• Exposure Mode: M (Manual Exposure) mode
• Shutter Speed: Around 1/60 (Actual setting should
be in accordance with aperture setting.)
• For maximum brightness of areas that are not
reached by flash illumination, use the camera’s
maximum aperture opening (F2.8).
• White Balance: (Daylight)
• Flash Mode: (Off)
