Upgrading the Browser Firmware
New firmware upgrade packages are posted on our website as they become
available. Check the website regularly to find the latest packages and
information relating to them. This section describes how to upgrade the
KH1508i / KH1516i’s browser firmware.
Note: 1. Upgrading the firmware is an administration function and requires
administrator privileges.
2. When you upgrade the browser firmware, you must upgrade the
mainboard firmware to the latest version (if it isn’t already at the
latest version). Upgrading the mainboard firmware is described on
page 40.
To upgrade the firmware, do the following:
1. From a computer that is not part of your KVM installation go to our web-
site and choose the model name that relates to your device to get a list of
available firmware upgrade files.
2. Choose the browser firmware upgrade file and download it to your
computer. It will have a name like kh1508i-1516i_browser_v.xxxx.csf
(where xxxx stands for the version number). The higher the number the
newer the file.
3. Open your browser and log in to the KH1508i / KH1516i.
4. Click the Maintenance icon (see page 54) to open the Firmware
configuration dialog box:
5. Click Browse; navigate to the directory that the new firmware file is in
and select the file.
6. Click Upload.
7. After the upload completes, click the Logout icon at the top right of the
web page to exit and reset the KH1508i / KH1516i.
